How much does a website cost in Malaysia in 2026?
Direct answer: Published local prices run from about RM500 for a template to RM50,000 for an agency build, and the published ranges put most SME sites between RM3,000 and RM15,000; the number is set by three decisions — who will edit the content, how many languages, and whether it is a website or a system — not by page count.

Malaysian agencies now publish their ranges, and they agree more than you would expect: template sites RM500 to 2,000; a custom business site RM3,000 to 15,000; e-commerce from RM5,000 to 25,000 and above; platforms and portals from RM15,000 with the code handed over. Bilingual adds roughly a third — RM1,500 to 4,000 per extra language is the figure agencies quote — and a CMS built for the client rather than installed adds RM18,000 to 45,000 in the published guides. On top sit the running costs everyone forgets to add: RM60 to 120 a year for the domain, RM200 to 2,900 for hosting, and RM100 to 800 a month if someone else maintains it. Page count is the wrong unit. Three answers set the price — who edits the content after launch, which languages the buyers actually search in, and whether there is a login or a workflow behind the pages — and a quote is only comparable once those are written down. Two sites with the same page count can sit RM20,000 apart on those three answers alone.
When this matters: Before you ask anyone for a quote. Decide who will edit the site, in which languages, and whether it needs to do anything beyond showing pages. Bring those three answers and every quote you receive will be comparable.
